Homecoming is a long-standing UCI tradition that brings together the UCI community for a week of activities and fun, all leading up to our men’s basketball game on Saturday! Join us on Saturday as we crown our 2022 Homecoming king and queen.

Friday, Feb. 11

Homecoming Virtual Program

3 p.m. – 7 p.m. PST | FREE

Join us as we celebrate Homecoming from home worldwide! Bring your Anteater friends and celebrate online.

Programming will feature the following:

  • Latest in UCI research
  • In-depth faculty presentations
  • Peter’s Corner with exclusive video resources
  • Virtual pep rally

Saturday, Feb. 12

UCI Homecoming Festival in Aldrich Park

2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. PST | FREE WITH STUDENT ID

Rejoin us back at the heart of UCI! As a long-standing UCI tradition that offers a variety of activities and special events, there is something for the whole family. Bring your Anteater friends and celebrate together!

Festival features include:

  • The first 500 students in attendance at the in-person festival will receive FREE Anteater socks!*
  • Complimentary Parking**
  • Interactive experiences with schools and units
  • 3rd annual Student vs. Alumni Competition – Join in the fun to see who has the skills to win UCI challenges, and ultimately the title of Homecoming Trophy winners.
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Giveaways and prizes
  • Homecoming Court reveal
  • Pre-game rally – Get amped up for the big game with the UCI Band.

UCI Men’s Basketball Bragging Points!

  • The ‘Eaters are coming off their ninth-straight winning season, and will look to continue their prominence atop the Big West as the 2021-22 champions!
  • Anteaters host UC Davis in their pursuit of a sixth Big West regular season title, third Big West Tournament crown and third NCAA Tournament appearance under 12th-year head coach Russell Turner.
  • Anteaters are led by 5th year senior captain, Collin Welp and sophomore guard Dawson Baker. Welp was named to the preseason Lou Henson Player of the Year Watch List. Baker was the 2020-21 Big West Freshman of the Year.
